The 2nd meeting titled Taphonomy and archaeozoological research: recent approaches was held in Santander (Spain) in September 2012. This meeting was as successful as the previous one with more than 60 attendees. It was organized by Ana Belén Marín-Arroyo from the Cantabrian International Institute for Prehistoric Research and Marta Moreno-García from the Human and Social Sciences Centre (CSIC) with the support of the University of Cantabria, the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the CONSOLIDER Programme.
